Thirteen families from the City of San Jose Del Monte and Obando town were evacuated while nine villages in Meycauayan City were submerged in two to three feet of floodwaters brought by Severe Tropical Storm “Ambo.”
This was reported by the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office as of 7 am on Saturday. Governor Daniel Fernando on Friday visited the Operation Center to personally monitor the status of typhoon and its impact on the province.
In the peak of the storm under tropical cyclone warning signal number 2 on Friday night, a total of 13 families from the City of San Jose del Monte and Obando town were evacuated to CDRRMO Evacuation Center, Chapel and Barangay Halls while nine barangays in the City of Meycauayan are still submerged to one to four feet depth of flood.
Moreover, it was reported there was power interruption to some areas in the towns of Bocaue, Santa Maria, Baliwag, Doña Remedios Trinidad, Norzagaray, Pulilan, Guiguinto, and Obando and in the cities of SJDM and Meycauayan.
Felicisima Mungcal, head of the PDRRMO, said that the as of the moment, all roads in the province is passable except Macaiban Bridge in Santa Maria due to clearing and cleaning of drainage.
“Generally safe naman ang Bulacan salamat sa Diyos pero naka-standby pa rin ang ating rescue team at tuluy-tuloy ang ating monitoring hanggang makalabas na ang bagyo,” Mungcal said.
Meanwhile, today’s Angat Dam water level is 190.19 mts, Ipo Dam is 100.71 mts and Bustos Dam is at 14.75 mts.
