The Angeles City Government, through the City Veterinary Office, launched a free anti-rabies vaccination program for dogs and cats in Barangay Pulung Maragul on March 5, 2025, reinforcing its commitment to animal welfare and responsible pet ownership.

Led by City Veterinarian Dr. Christian Xyric Arcilla, the initiative follows a citywide vaccination schedule covering all 33 barangays. Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel emphasized that this has been a priority program since Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. took office, under the supervision of Chief Adviser IC Calaguas.
Mayor Lazatin urged pet owners to take advantage of the free vaccinations, highlighting the city’s goal to protect both animals and the community. “Nanawagan po ako sa lahat ng pet owners na pabakunahan ang kanilang mga alagang hayop sa gagawing Bakuna sa Barangay,” he said.
