Arayat LGUs bat for new public market

Arayat, Pampanga — In a move aimed at bolstering the town’s local economy and improving market access, the Arayat municipal government has approved a resolution seeking a P100-million funding allocation from Third District Representative Mica Gonzales for the construction of a new public market.

Vice Mayor Monching Changcoco confirmed that the 12th Sangguniang Bayan passed the resolution during its second regular session on July 8, signaling the local government’s commitment to modernizing public infrastructure to better serve both vendors and consumers.

Mayor Jeffrey Luriz and Municipal Administrator Larry Trinidad were also present during the session to express support for the proposed project, which is seen as a catalyst for economic revitalization and improved trade within the municipality.

The planned market is expected to replace outdated facilities and provide a more efficient and hygienic space for commerce, aligning with the administration’s development agenda.
