Army officers, enlisted personnel donate 20,250 cc of blood

TARLAC CITY — About 70 officers and enlisted personnel from the 3rdMechanized Infantry “Makatarungan” Battalion (3rd Mech Bn) of the Philippine Army donated 20,250 cc of blood during the bloodletting activity in Camp Aquino.  

3rd Mech Bn Commander Lieutenant Colonel Norberto Aromin Jr. said the blood collected was turned-over to the Victoriano Luna Hospital, Armed Forces of the Philippines Health Service Command. 

“We encourage all capable individuals from all sectors of the society to participate in this kind of worthy activity. The blood donation can be beneficial to both the donor and those in dire need,” Aromin noted. 

The bloodletting drive was initiated by the Camp Aquino Hospital in partnership with the Victoriano Luna Hospital to ensure enough supply of blood for military and dependent patients. 

Prior to this, the Makatarungan troopers also participated in the bloodletting activity of the Philippine Red Cross-Tarlac Chapter and Isagani Masonic Lodge wherein 27,000 liters of blood were donated. (CLJD/TJBM-PIA 3)
