A barangay chairman, who is an alleged member of Sogis Drug Group, was arrested following the implementation of a search warrant in General Santos City on November 24, 2017.
Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Director General Aaron N. Aquino identified the suspect as Abdul Wahid Bualan y Diamad, 53 years old, who was arrested by elements of PDEA Regional Office 12 (PDEA RO12) under the supervision of Director Gil Cesario P. Castro, and 42nd Special Action Company in Purok Camachile, Barangay Tambler, General Santos City.
Confiscated from Bualan during the operation were more or less 10 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated value of Php 50,000.00.
Cases for violation of Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of the Republic Act 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, will be filed in court against the suspect.
