CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — About 20 farmer-youth tandems Bulacan and Pampanga took part in the Digital Farmers Program (DFP) webinar of Agricultural Training Institute-Central Luzon (ATI-CL).
Project Officer Shanemie Carelle Daquio and Media Production Specialist II Kent Edward S. Ballesteros served as resource persons. Topics they discussed include Smartphone 101, Accessing the Internet, Agri Apps, and Introduction to Social Media Marketing.
The speakers also shared some principles in protecting the participants’ data in using the internet especially in accessing the social media.
“This program, which is in partnership with Smart Communications, aims to build the farmers’ capabilities in the use of social media in marketing their agricultural produce and use different agricultural related smartphone applications with the assistance of their youth counterparts,” ATI-CL Center Director Veronica Concepcion Esguerra said.
ATI-CL will continue its remaining DFP implementation for Nueva Ecija on October 22; Tarlac on November 5; and Zambales on November 12.
