BALER, Aurora — Acting Governor Christian Noveras issued an Executive Order which prohibits the entry of tourists and non-residents in Aurora to prevent transmission of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
“Tourists, foreign or local, shall be prohibited to enter the province of Aurora. Likewise, non-residents who are planning to enter the province for purposes other than to visit tourist destinations shall also be denied of entry,” Noveras said.
Exemption to the travel ban include those who will deliver food and non-food supplies which are considered basic commodities provided they observe strict preventive measures as advised by Department of Health. Vehicles carrying these supplies shall be inspected at the entry points.
Others exempted from the ban are non-residents who will provide the basic services and public utilities, non-residents who are government employees or officials if the purpose of their visit is purely for authorized government transactions and those traveling for medical and humanitarian purposes.
Relative to this, Noveras temporarily suspends all tourism activities in the entire province.
“All tourist guides and hotel and resort owners and managers are directed not to received or book guests, local or foreign, for any purpose,” he added.
Tourists who are now present in the province shall be advised by the hotel and resort owners to leave immediately.
