Aurora police arrest suspect in drug bust

SAN LUIS, Aurora – Police arrested a 46-year-old laborer in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Real, San Luis, seizing Php10,100 worth of suspected shabu on February 23, 2025.

Authorities identified the suspect as Alias Oli, a resident of Purok 1, Barangay Real. He was apprehended around 2:20 PM by the San Luis Municipal Police Station’s (MPS) Special Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) in coordination with the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU) of Aurora, and Regional Intelligence Division 3 (RID3).

Police recovered 1.5 grams of suspected shabu and placed the suspect in custody. Charges are being prepared against him.

San Luis Police Chief Major Desiree Buluag praised the operatives for their swift action and reaffirmed the town’s commitment to combating illegal drugs.

“This successful operation underscores our dedication to keeping San Luis drug-free. We will not stop pursuing those involved in this illegal trade,” Buluag said, urging the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities.

Authorities continue to intensify anti-drug efforts in line with higher police directives to curb the spread of illegal drugs in Aurora and Central Luzon.
