BAGAC, Bataan, March 24 (PIA) — Special Task Force on Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) of Bagac implemented today the Extreme Enhanced Community Quarantine to combat the spread of the infectious disease in the town.
“Due to the confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the province, the task force decided to implement a stricter quarantine measures,” Mayor Rommel Del Rosario said in a statement.
Starting Tuesday, the municipal government will enforce a 24/7 curfew and will restrict anyone to enter and exit the town except authorized persons identified by the national government.
Private establishments, including convenience stores, are only allowed to open from 5:00AM to 8:00PM.
A food pack distribution system will also be implemented to ensure that all severely affected residents will be prioritized.
Del Rosario said they will conduct surveys to identify most deserving residents who need to receive aid.
“Food packs were already distributed to the barangays. Barangay officials are expected to follow the protocols set for its distribution,” he added.
The local chief executive also urged residents to practice social distancing and asked officials to wear face masks at all times.
