LAPU LAPU CITY — Cebu City’s largest hotel is eyeing AirAsia as a partner in its special promo in a bid to capture travelers from Pampanga and the rest of Central Luzon, a key hotel official announced.
Alfred Reyes, Bai hotel general manager, offered the idea to AirAsia during Clark’s media familiarization tour co-organized by the hotel and airline, but no formal communication has been reached yet.
“The mechanics will soon be drafted before the signing of the agreement,” said Reyes as he urged Clark and Pampanga travelers to visit Cebu City particularly Lapu Lapu City.
Bai Hotel is situated in Lapu Lapu City, about 30 minutes drive from Mactan International Airport.
Bai Hotel, a four-star hotel with five-star amenities and services, has 668 rooms, sauna, swimming pool, executive lounge, pool bar, Cafe Bai, roof deck twilight bar, fitness center and spa.
Part of the proposed partnership plan, Reyes said, is to establish sattelite offices at SM-Clark and Marquee Mall where prospective clients can easily arrange their flight to Cebu City via Clark.
“Bai choses SM and Marquee because of accessibility,” said Reyes, citing AirAsia as among the favorite airlines of Cebuano and Kapampangan travelers.
Reyes said AirAsia passengers to Cebu City will be given special rates at Bai Hotel. “They will just present the boarding pass to the front desk to avail of the special room rates promo.”
He clarified that only those who have booked ahead or pre-booked will be processed.
