TARLAC CITY — The municipal government of Bamban is implementing an odd-even scheme for tricycles to control the movement of people and prevent the spread of coronavirus disease.
Under Executive Order No. 43 series of 2020 issued by Mayor Jon Feliciano, only tricycles who are duly accredited or with franchise shall be allowed to use the public roads on specific days based on the last digit of their plate numbers or conduction stickers.
“Tricycles with plate numbers or conduction stickers ending with odd (1, 3, 5, 7 and 9) numbers are allowed to travel or use public thoroughfares every Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays. For emergency cases, they are permitted to use public roads during Saturdays,” Feliciano explained.
Moreover, tricycles with even numbers (0, 2, 4, 6 and 8) on the last digits of their plate numbers/conduction stickers are allowed to use public roads every Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. For emergency cases, they are permitted to use public roads during Sundays.
“Tricycles should follow the protocol of the Department of Health on minimum health standards. Only one passenger is allowed per tricycle,” he furthered.
Violators of this order shall be apprehended, fined or filed appropriate charges.
