BALANGA CITY — The provincial government of Bataan is offering free accommodation to healthcare workers fighting the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
“This is just one of the measures of the provincial government to somehow alleviate the plight of our frontliners as they continue to protect our health against COVID-19,” Governor Albert Raymond Garcia said in a statement.
The governor revealed that, as of Saturday, there are now 50 nurses staying at Hillside Garden Mansion Hotel while 53 healthcare workers are free to occupy rooms at Dennito Inn. Both establishments are located in Balanga City.
Garcia added that the Provincial Engineering Office has examined each room including its air conditioning system.
Moreover, healthcare workers staying at the hotels are also provided with free meals and transportation.
“They do not have to travel from home or work and spend fares. They will not have to worry about the food as it will be shouldered by the Provincial Governor’s Office while staying at the hotel,” Garcia assured.
