BCDA, Capas mayor aid Tarlac evacuees

TARLAC, Philippines – More than 270 evacuees from flood-affected communities in Tarlac received hot meals and rice donations at the Sto. Domingo 1 evacuation center as part of an on-site relief operation.

The effort was led by Capas Mayor Roseller “Boots” Rodriguez and Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) President and CEO Engr. Joshua Bingcang. They were joined by BCDA OIC SVP for Conversion and Development Mark Torres and VP for Land and Assets Development Richard Cepe.

The distribution forms part of BCDA’s wider disaster response initiative, which aims to deliver rapid aid to affected communities across its estate areas. The agency emphasized its commitment to working closely with local governments to ensure timely relief for displaced residents.

The Sto. Domingo 1 evacuation center is one of several shelters opened in response to heavy monsoon rains and flooding across Central Luzon in recent weeks.
