MANILA, Philippines – The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) and John Hay Management Corporation (JHMC) have reaffirmed their partnership with Stern Real Estate and Development Corporation, operator of the iconic Le Monet Hotel and Filling Station food court in Camp John Hay, Baguio City.
The agreement, signed on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, underscores BCDA’s commitment to ensuring business continuity within Camp John Hay while driving inclusive economic growth and job creation.
“We want to assure our partners that their condition will improve even more under our collaboration. This renewed partnership with Le Monet Hotel reflects our promise of progress and innovation here in Camp John Hay,” BCDA President and CEO Engr. Joshua M. Bingcang said.
Le Monet Hotel and Filling Station have long been key players in the region’s eco-tourism and hospitality industries, helping define Camp John Hay as a top leisure and dining destination.
BCDA Chairperson Atty. Hilario B. Paredes emphasized that the signing marks a significant step in fostering a stable and harmonious business environment within the economic zone.
“More than anything else, this signing is part of BCDA’s promise of business continuity in John Hay. We are ensuring a smooth transition for all stakeholders moving forward,” Paredes said.
Stern, led by Executive Vice President Eric Owen Singson, Jr., pledged to enhance its leased properties spanning over 2,000 square meters. These upgrades will align with the John Hay Special Economic Zone Comprehensive Master Plan, adhering to eco-tourism and commercial design standards for a unified vision in the area.
