BCDA, NLEX inspect SCTEX bridge safety

CLARK, Pampanga – In light of recent typhoons and persistent rains, the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) and NLEX Corporation conducted a joint inspection of the Pasig–Potrero Bridge along the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX) to ensure it remains safe for motorists.

BCDA President and CEO Engr. Joshua Bingcang and NLEX Corporation Civil Asset Management Head Edmund Ibaan led the site inspection, confirming that the bridge remains structurally sound despite the weather disturbances.

They were joined by BCDA OIC SVP for Conversion and Development Engr. Mark Torres, VP for Strategic Projects Management Engr. Randy Viacrusis, and VP for Land and Assets Development Engr. Richard Cepe.

The agencies assured the public that regular monitoring will continue, in coordination with NLEX, to protect motorists and maintain the integrity of key transport infrastructure along the SCTEX corridor.
