BDO Unibank and its corporate social responsibility arm, BDO Foundation, were honored by UK-based Cambridge International Financial Advisory (IFA) at the 6th Global Good Governance (3G) Awards.
BDO was recognized with the 3G Championship Award in Service Excellence for providing quality financial solutions and services that meet clients’ needs and exceed their expectations. The bank also got the 3G Championship Award in Transparency for its “exceptional quality and comprehensive information disclosure practices” and “rigorous and transparent reporting on financials, governance, and strategy.”
BDO Foundation, meanwhile, bagged the 3G Excellence Award in Education & Literacy Programme for its “exceptional ability in formulating guidelines of the highest standard and providing balanced, scientifically accurate, and comprehensive educational and literacy programmes to develop a literate community to compete in a global economy.”
“As a bank, we find ways to serve our clients while as a foundation, we find ways to help alleviate the well-being of Filipinos in various communities or where our assistance is needed the most,” said Mario Deriquito, president of BDO Foundation.
“True to our ‘We Find Ways’ philosophy, we continue to do our part to serve our clients, our communities, and the nation in the most efficient way possible as we recover from this global pandemic,” he added.
Financial services intelligence house Cambridge IFA organizes the 3G Awards to promote best practices in governance and sustainability across the globe. The 3G Awards honor individuals, governments, public and private institutions, and NGOs that prioritize good governance and sustainability in the way they run their organizations. Since it started in 2016, over 150 3G Awards have been bestowed to individuals and institutions from more than 25 countries.
