A BDO employee assigned in San Juan City, Manila allegedly tested positive for COVID-19.
The employee did self-quarantine on March 10 but the bank was reportedly only informed on March 16.The BDO management said all employees who were exposed to the affected individual are now under self-quarantine.
BDO said it will provide every support and guidance to the employee.
BDO management is currently in close coordination with the Department of Health (DOH) and conducting contact tracing with all employees and other parties the infected employee may have come into contact with.
It said the affected office area, as well as the common spaces such as the elevators and toilets, are being deep cleaned and disinfected.
It also advised its employees to be cautious about their wellness and hygiene to boost their immune system.
BDO will continue to closely monitor the situation to ensure that the well-being of employees, customers and suppliers is protected.
