Bello graces TUPAD Awarding in Tarlac

TARLAC CITY – At least 2,159 people benefited from the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged and Displaced Workers [TUPAD]
project.

No less than Department of Labor and Employment [DOLE] Secretary Silvestre Bello III attended the recent awarding ceremony at the Bulwagang Kanlahi.

The beneficiaries received their pay-out assistance from Bello and Gov. Susan Yap. The event was attended by DOLE Regional Director Zen Angara-Campita and DOLE Provincial Director Au Laxamana.

TUPAD beneficiaries were hired and rendered community chores for 10 days at P400 per day. Each received a total of P4,000 each.

Bello, the ceremony’s guest of honor said in his speech that he is glad that the province of Tarlac has a program for disadvantaged and displaced workers.

“I am glad to see a program like this benefiting our workers…I congratulate Governor Susan for this noble program,” Bello said in the vernacular adding that his office will provide a higher budget for the province so that more will benefit.

For her part, Yap thanked the secretary and the support and hard work being provided by Angala-Campita, Laxamana and the province’ Public Employment Service Office Manager Nida Duco.

“Narinig nyo ang sinabi ni Secretary Bebot Bello. Ito ay magandang balita na dadagdagan pa niya ang tulong sa probinsiya para marami pa ang matulungan. Salamat sa ating hardworking rd Zen, PD Au at award-winning PESO Nida Duco,” the governor said.

Also in attendance during the awarding were Vice Governor Carlito “Casada” David, Board Members Joy Gilbert Lamorena, Danilo Asiaten, Jude Joseph David, Antonio Cervantes Jr., Dennis Norman Go and Joselito Capitulo, Mayors Reynaldo Catacutan of Capas, Venus Jordan of La Paz, Andres Lacson of Concepcion, Christian Tell Yap of Victoria, Freddie Domingo of Pura, Elma Macadamia of San Clemente, Nora Modomo of Sta.
