In a bid to comply with President Rodrigo Duterte’s call to reduce requirements and processing time on government transactions, this city’s Business One Stop Shop (BOSS) has adapted the new and simplified set of service standards on business permit and licensing.
The BOSS service standards will provide more efficient and faster delivery of services to the Mabalaqueǹos.
“This is based on the Joint Memorandum Circular signed by the Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Interior and Local Government and Department of Information and Communication Technology to fast-track the application and renewal of permits. From the five-step process, we reduced it to only three,” Business Permit and Licensing Unit Head Amalia Carton said.
The procedure has been set to a maximum of three-steps: application, filing and verification; assessment of taxes, fees and charges; and payment and claiming of Mayor’s permit.
In addition to the streamlining, the processing time has been cut to two days for new business registrations and one day for renewals.
“We expect an influx of people by next week, so we are reminding them to file early to avoid paying the 25 percent penalty,” Carton added.
The last day of filing is on January 20.
The business one-stop-shop located at the Jade Hall, Xevera Lot Only in Barangay Tabun is open from Monday to Friday, 8am to 5 pm.
