CAMP OLIVAS — Joint operatives of the Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU) of the Bulacan police and Baliwag City police on Thursday arrested a 45-year-old barangay tanod in an entrapment operation in Baliwag, Bulacan.
The operating teams said the suspect alias “Vic” was nabbed while selling one .38 revolver for P3,000 in Bgy. Tangos, Baliwag City, Bulacan.
Also seized from the suspect’s possession were two .38 ammunition, one improvised shotgun, an improvised .22 pistol, four 12-gauge ammunition, one .22 magazine, one black holster, a shoulder bag, one Kawasaki Bajaj motorcycle with plate number 4874 CQ, one genuine P1,000 bill and two P1,000 boodle money.
The suspect is now facing charges for violation of Comprehensive Law on Firearms and ammunition (R.A 10591).
Hidalgo lauded the operating teams saying this accomplishment signifies the commitment of PRO3 to account and seize all loose firearms while at the same time uphold the provisions of the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition (R.A 10591) and ensure the safety of the community.
