BATAAN, Philippines – The Bureau of Customs (BOC) and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) conducted a successful operation against fuel smuggling at Marina Beach, Brgy. Alas-asin, Mariveles, Bataan, on February 7, 2025.

The operation was carried out in line with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s directive to intensify the government’s campaign against smuggling. Authorities have yet to disclose the volume of smuggled fuel seized and details about those involved.

BOC officials said the crackdown on illegal fuel trade is part of their broader efforts to curb revenue losses and protect the local industry. “We remain committed to dismantling smuggling networks that harm our economy,” the agency stated.
