BOC Port of Subic new district collector assumes office

Subic Bay Freeport – The Bureau of Customs-Port of Subic officially welcomed its new District Collector, Atty. Marlon Fritz B. Broto, MNSA, during a formal turnover ceremony held on January 15, 2025.

In his inaugural speech, Collector Broto expressed deep gratitude for the trust placed in him, extending his thanks to the leadership of the Bureau of Customs and other key stakeholders who have supported his journey. “Allow me to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the leadership of the Bureau of Customs for trusting me. Thank you, Commissioner Bienvenido Rubio and Deputy Commissioner Vener S. Baquiran. I am equally indebted to my predecessors, whose remarkable contributions have shaped the port into what is today. Their legacy serves as both a foundation and an inspiration as we strive from even greater accomplishments,” Collector Broto said.

He also acknowledged the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) and its leadership for their unwavering support. “I would also like to take this moment to express my sincere appreciation to the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) under the exemplary leadership of Chairman and Administrator Engr. Eduardo Jose L. Aliño. Thank you for the warm welcome and the unconditional support you have extended to me and my team. Your steadfast partnership will undoubtedly be instrumental in ensuring the success of our shared mission to elevate the Port of Subic to new heights of efficiency, innovative, and global competitiveness.”

The designation of District Collector Broto ushers in a renewed focus on efficiency, transparency, and innovation, underscoring the Port of Subic’s vital role in the nation’s trade and security landscape.
