MEXICO, Pampanga – The body of a 30-year-old woman was found half naked along the road in Barangay Lagundi here early morning Friday, a police report said.
The woman had multiple stab wounds in different parts of her body and was believed raped by her abductors, it was also stated in the police report.
Barangay Lagundi chairman Alfredo David identified the victim as Rhema Paguidopon Bertulfo of nearby Barangay San Patricio here.
Supt. Wilson Alicuman, Mexico police chief, said the victim might have been killed somewhere and apparently dumped in that place to mislead investigators, as no bloodstains were found at the scene.
The body, Alicuman, said was discovered by one Victorio Manimbo, 33, a resident in the community past 5 a.m. Friday as he was on his way to his farm. He said the victim was lying face down without her lower garments beside a burger store.
The victim, wearing a brown shirt, stood 5’ 4” tall, with a small built, and fair complexion.
Alicuman said investigation is on progress to determine circumstances behind the death of the victim.
Her remains were taken to the nearest funeral parlor for autopsy.
