Boxing icon George Foreman, the former heavyweight champion who battled Muhammad Ali in the legendary “Rumble in the Jungle”, has died at 76, his family confirmed Friday.
“With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved George Edward Foreman Sr., who peacefully departed on March 21, 2025, surrounded by loved ones,” the family said in a statement.
Foreman, known for his devastating power and later reinventing himself to reclaim the heavyweight title in his 40s, leaves behind an enduring legacy in the ring and beyond.
