ANGELES CITY, Pampanga — The Schools Division Office of Angeles City officially kicked off Brigada Eskwela 2025 on Monday, June 10, at the Angeles City National Trade School (ACNTS), rallying students, educators, and stakeholders in preparation for the upcoming school year.
The annual campaign, spearheaded by the Department of Education (DepEd), is aimed at cleaning, repairing, and improving school facilities in the two weeks leading up to the class opening. This year’s theme is “Brigada Eskwela: Sama-sama Para Sa Bayang Bumabasa”, emphasizing collective action in fostering a culture of reading.

EcoProtect Waste Management Corporation, represented by Alainne Tan, extended support to ACNTS’ “Balik Eskwela” efforts by continuing its initiative of exchanging single-use plastics for essential school furniture and bins — a move that combines environmental advocacy with educational readiness.

“This is not only helping our schools in Pampanga but also supporting communities across Central Luzon,” said DepEd Chief Education Supervisor Amando Concepcion Yutuc. He praised EcoProtect’s efforts as a model of how public-private partnerships can elevate both learning environments and sustainable practices.
The launch underscored the city’s commitment to preparing schools to be safe, clean, and learner-ready ahead of the new academic year.
