Bulacan Police has a new lady police director

The Bulacan Police Provincial Office (Bulacan PPO) has a new Officer-In-Charge but for the very first in the history of Bulacan PNP Command, it is now a lady police director as PBGen.

Rhodel Sermonia, the Regional Director of Police Regional Office (PRO3) installed PCol. Emma Macapagal Libunao during the formal turn over rites held at the Bulacan Provincial Headquarters in Camp General Alejo S Santos, City of Malolos, Bulacan on Monday.

The turn-over ceremony officially designated Libunao to assume as the Officer-In-Charge of Bul PPO effective November 29, 2019.

The lady police director replaced PCol. Chito Bersaluna, who rendered his dedicated service as the Provincial Director of Bulacan PPO for more than one and a half years.

In mid 90’s, Libinao was assigned as the Chief of Police in towns of Balagtas, San Ildefonso and City of Malolos.

Prior her assumption as OIC of Bulacan PPO she was assigned at the Directorate for Police Community Relations at the National Headquarters. Her assumption is part of history, as “she” is the first ever woman Provincial Director of Bul PPO.

The lady police official who is a native of Barangay Sacdalan in San Miguel, Bulacan ensured to perform her new mandated task with commitment and benevolence as the new OIC wherein she affirmed that the whole force of Bulacan PNP under her leadership, with the help and support of the community and will continue its relentless effort in the implementation of the intensified campaign against illegal drugs, terrorism, and will curb all forms of criminality to maintain the peace and order in the whole province of Bulacan.

Libunao emphasized that she will undertake tough approach in anti-criminality programs yet at the same time fortify PNP and community partnership to ensure the peoples participation and cooperation. 
Libunao and Bersaluna were been classmates in Police Intelligence Course in 1996.

She thanked President Rodrigo Roa Duterte for giving lady cops a chance to serve the people. 

Libunao also warned those drug peddlers not to expect less bloody campaign against war on drugs of the Bulacan PNP under her leadership.

“We will engage the community in drug campaign, i rather spend our time to the community particularly the women’s desk down to barangay and internal cleansing continues where we will engaged the religious sectors to be part in all our mission programs and activities,” Libunao said.
