Bulakenyos support federalism

Some 1,000 Bulakenyos along with Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado flocked in front of the Bulacan Capitol in support of the shift to a federal form of government during the “Go Bulacan for Federalism Caravan” held on Saturday.

The caravan that assembled from the City Walk for the District 1 participants; St. Agatha Square, Guiguinto for District 2; PTT Malimpampang, San Ildefonso for the Third District; and Santa Maria Municipal Hall for the Fourth District had a motorcade then gathered in front of the Capitol building where the program was held.

First District Representative Jose Antonio R. Sy-Alvarado assured the Bulakenyos that the congress is doing its best to support the passage of the new system of government.

“Panahon na sa Pilipinas upang makasubok tayo ng panibagong gamot. At pinaniniwalaan ko po na ang tamang paghahati sa pondo ng bayan, ang pagbibigay ng tamang kapangyarihan sa federal states o sa bagong bubuoin natin na local government, ito ang magiging solusyon upang mas mabilis na makarating sa ating mga kababayan ang tulong na ngayon ay nanggagaling pa sa pamahalaang nasyunal,” Alvarado said.

For his part, Vice Governor Daniel R. Fernando called on the people who understands the scope of Federalism to educate those who has no knowledge so that more people will appreciate the benefits and advantages of Federalism.

“Sa paglipas ng panahon ay mas nakikilala natin ang pangangailangan ng ating mga nasasakupan kaya marapat lamang na sabayan natin ang pagbabago upang mas maging handa tayo para sa kinabukasan. Ano man ang maging bihis ng ating pamahalaan, ang mahalaga ay sama-sama pa din tayong maging tanod ng katotohanan at sandigan ng katarungan,” the vice governor said.

The Go Bulacan for Federalism Caravan was organized by the Mayor Rodrigo Roa Duterte-National Executive Coordinating Committee (MRRD-NECC) and the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) with the support of the Provincial Government of Bulacan.

Ret. Col. Danilo Bugay, provincial chairman in Bulacan of Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP), said that the party has already filed its political accreditation at the Commission on Elections and are now inviting local politicians to join PFP.

The motorcade for the fledgling political party was simultaneously launched and started the motorcade around 7:00am from the four political districts of Bulacan.

Overall the caravan were able to master around 1000 participants that were welcomed in front of the Capitol Building by Guiguinto Mayor Ambrocio Cruz who is also the president of League of Municipalities of the Philippines-Bulacan , Vice Gov. Daniel Fernando, Rep. Jonathan Alvarado (Bulacan First District).

Bulacan, Bulacan Gov. Wilhelmino Sy Alvarado said that participants to the caravan took off from the City of Malolos and the towns of Guiguinto, San Ildefonso and Santa Maria and converged in front of the provincial capitol building in Malolos. ELOISA SILVERIO
