Cancer survivor thanks Pampanga 1st PMFC

A cancer-free kid posted on Facebook a grateful message for the officers of the Pampanga 1st Police Mobile Force Company (PMFC), led by Liuetenant Colonel Michael ‘Mike’ Masangkay, for helping him win his battle against leukemia.

“Ako po si Jake. Ang Batang may sakit na Leukemia. Sa mga Ate at Kuya sa First Coy Pampanga PMFC, lalo na kay PLCol. Michael Masangkay, maraming salamat po sa tulong niyo,” the posted stated.

In the photo posted on Facebook, Jake holds a sign mentioning the efforts of the 1st PMFC to extend a helping hand in providing his medical needs.
“Napakalaking tulong at nahing bahagi kayo sa aking gamutan,” he said.

According to Jake, he is already a cancer survivor and he owes it to the police officers’ help.

“Mga Kuya at Ate, dahil sa inyo isa na po akong survivor ngayon. Salamat,” the post furthered.
Moreover, according to Masangkay, they just did what had to be done – to serve and protect the needy.

He then said that peace and order is not just about winning the fight against crime, but also to win all the struggles that life may throw at you.

“Salamat naman at magaling ka na,” he replied to the post.

With this, he added, Jake’s journey in surviving cancer is a testament of faith and strength.
“Let us continue to pray for those people who survive life and death every day, especially when it comes to their health,” he shared.
