CAPAS, Tarlac — Municipal government of Capas issued Executive Order No. 19 series of 2020 directing all business establishments in the municipality to implement precautionary measures against coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
This is pursuant to the Presidential Proclamation No. 922 declaring a Public Health Emergency throughout the Philippines to curtail and eliminate the threat of COVID-19.
Mayor Reynaldo Catacutan said business establishments are urged to partake in the proactive measures of the local government to protect Capaseños from possible exposure to the virus.
Under the executive order, all business establishments are instructed to use thermal scanners at their entrance points to monitor the temperature of all customers.
“Have running water and soap readily available in the restrooms at all times and install hygiene, alcohol or hand sanitizing stations at the entrance of the establishment and other strategic areas,” Catacutan emphasized in the order.
Moreover, establishments must be sanitized and disinfected regularly while observing sanitary practices such as proper waste disposal.
“COVID-19 is transmitted through droplets and air spray, so these establishments are encouraged to practice social distancing of at least one meter as well to keep people safe from the virus,” he noted.
