CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga- The Provincial Government of Pampanga is set to open a newly constructed Dialysis Center in Guagua, located within the Diosdado Macapagal Memorial Hospital (DPMMH)to provide essential dialysis services to patients in the second district of Pampanga.
Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda personally inspected the state-of-the-art facility, accompanied by Special Assistant to the Governor Angelina Blanco, Provincial Health Office Officer-in-Charge Dr. Dax Tidula, and DPMMH Chief of Hospital Dr. Fleur Zapanta. During the visit, Governor Pineda also met with the first batch of patients who attended an orientation session on January 28, 2025.
“Gewa miya pung Nanay ini para kekayu pu ne. First class la pu reng buri ming Nanay kasi ini para ya kekayu, kareng masakit bang ikami mismung Nanay asuportan da kayu pu todu todu pu. Marakal ku pung lageng programa keni,” the governor told the patients and their relatives.
Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) has allocated PHP 52.9 million for the center’s 43 dialysis machines and Water Reverse Osmosis System while the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) contributed PHP 29.3 million for the construction of the building. The center’s operation will be managed through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) between the Provincial Government and B. Braun Philippines.
According to the Provincial Health Office (PHO), patients can avail of up to 156 dialysis sessions annually, with the assistance of PhilHealth.
Governor Pineda also pledged additional support, including assistance for patients needing arteriovenous fistula procedures and maintenance medications.
In addition to the Guagua Dialysis Center, the Provincial Government plans to establish four more dialysis centers, including facilities in the City of San Fernando and Apalit.
As per PHO records, the Provincial Government is currently supporting 3,494 dialysis patients across Pampanga.
