
City of San Fernando City, Pampanga – Provincial Government of Pampanga, through its Arts, Culture, and Tourism Office (ACTOP), hosted a Charcoal Painting Contest at the historic Governor Macario Arnedo Park in celebration of National Arts Month on Monday, February 17, 2025.
Fourteen (14) local artists participated in the event, showcasing their talents and paying homage to the rich cultural heritage of the province.

The contest, themed “Ani ng Sining: Diwa at Damdamin” (Harvest of Art: Spirit and Emotion), featured Mutya ning Kapampangan 2024, Natalya Lindsay, as the model for the live art session.

Artists captured her likeness using charcoal medium, highlighting the depth and versatility of this traditional art form.

After careful deliberation, Jessica Julia J. Cariño secured first place, followed by Brylle Nicol Jhon Patiu in second place, and David Kings P. Viray in third place. Dave B. Salenga and Jiovanni P. Turla rounded out the top five, respectively.
By providing platforms such as this contest, the provincial government reaffirms its commitment to supporting local artists and preserving the vibrant Kapampangan culture.
