A new journey awaits the 278 graduates of the City College of San Fernando Pampanga, as they received their diplomas during the 6th Commencement Exercises held April 13 at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center.
These graduates completed the four-year degree courses in Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Bachelor in Elementary Education, Bachelor in Secondary Education and Bachelor of Science in Information Technology.
In his speech, Mayor Edwin ‘EdSa’ Santiago extended his congratulations to the graduates and stressed that graduation was the culmination of their hard work and efforts in achieving their dreams.
He also lauded the parents of the students for their unending support and sacrifices.
Santiago furthered that the Local Government is always willing to help the students in their education since it is the administration’s top priority. He stressed that not everyone is given free education, that is why he hopes that these students considered themselves lucky for being part of a nationally acclaimed institution.
Recently, the City College of San Fernando Pampanga was ranked 43rd out of 57 colleges and universities in the country for the Best Secondary Education Schools in the Philippines for 2017.
This is in compliance of the city’s sincere dedication and commitment in providing good quality education to Fernandinos.
Also present during the ceremony were Vice Mayor Jimmy Lazatin, City Councilors Nelson Lingat and Harvey Quiwa, City College Coordinator Rachelle Yusi and Guest Speaker Dr. Grace Gorospe-Jamon.
