Discussions centered on strengthening bilateral cooperation, sustaining current operations, and supporting SFA’s future investment and expansion plans in Clark. CDC acknowledged the strategic importance of SFA Semicon Philippines (SSP), which contributes approximately 75 percent of the Freeport’s total export value.
Atty. Devanadera reaffirmed Clark’s commitment to enabling high-value industries, such as semiconductors, through favorable business conditions and policies under the CREATE MORE law, which streamlines tax incentives and enhances investor confidence. She also highlighted Clark’s preferential tariff rates when exporting to the United States, which makes the Freeport even more attractive for manufacturing and technology-based industries like semiconductors.
