CLARK FREEPORT – The Department of Health (DOH) has cited the Clark Development Corporation (CDC) in its drive against coronavirus particularly after having launched the COVID-19 central hotline last April 7.The COVID hotline made a positive impact to the community in containing the spread of the disease, according to DOH.
In the official Facebook page of DOH, it expressed its gratitude to CDC officials and its Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) partner, for launching the COVID-19 hotline which significantly helped the community during the ECQ.
The post included CDC’s emergency hotline along with a caption which stated: “Through this hotline, the public’s needs are better met and they were able to encourage people to stay at home.”
Instead of going to hospitals and other health institutions for their usual consultations, people are calling the hotline from the comfort of their homes to address their health concerns.
CDC’s Covid-19 hotline provided immediate emergency response to all callers. They were directed to nurses and medical staff of CDC’s Health and Sanitation Division (HSD) headed by Dr. Clemencita Dobles to further assess their medical conditions.
The Bases Conversion Development Authority (BCDA) and CDC have tapped BPOs operating in Clark for the project. The central hotline continues to receive calls from 8 AM to 1 AM daily.Meanwhile, CDC will continue to implement safety protocols issued by DOH and the Inter-Agency Task Force for Emerging Infectious Disease (IATF-EID) to maintain a safe environment and work place for all residents and employees inside the Freeport.
This after the National Bureau of Investigation, the Food and Drug Administration and CDC shut down an underground medical facility treating COVID-19 Chinese patients at the Fontana Leisure Park recently.
Two Chinese nationals were arrested during the raid at Fontana but they were later released.
The Fontana Development Corporation has denied any involvement in any illegal activities at the resort saying the villa at 628 Florida St., Fontana where the makeshift medical facility operates, was being operated by the Shidaikeji Technology Corporation. It is not known if Shidaikeji has a Lease Agreement with the CDC to operate the villas.
