CDC donates Kabuhayan Mobile Karts to Porac vendors

CLARK FREEPORT – Clark Development Corporation (CDC) through its External Affairs Department (EAD) recently donated 12 Kabuhayan Mobile Karts to selected beneficiaries from the Municipality of Porac, Pampanga.

In a simple ceremony held on Tuesday at the Porac Command Center, CDC President and CEO Manuel R. Gaerlan led the presentation of the livelihood mobile karts worth P20,000 each to 12 selected members of the Porac Baywalk Street Vendors Association.

In his message, Gaerlan said that the provision of the livelihood mobile karts is part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program of the state-owned firm. He further stated that this project exemplifies CDC’s drive to promote inclusive development.

The LGU of Porac headed by Mayor Jaime Capil also provided P3,000 cash assistance to each beneficiary to help them start-up and grow their small food business.

Capil was represented by Special Assistant to the Local Chief Executive Relito Laxama and Porac Public Employment Service Office (PESO) officer Sheryl Bulanadi.

Laxamana thanked the CDC for continuously providing support to their community and for uplifting the lives of their residents through various CSR programs.

“We are very thankful to CDC for this project. On behalf of Mayor Jing Capil, we are very thankful for this program,” he said.

The Kabuhayan Mobile Karts will be strategically placed along the Porac Baywalk to boost tourism activity in the area.
