CDC donates portable P3.8M x-ray machine to provincial gov’t

CLARK FREEPORT— The Clark Development Corporation (CDC) donated a portable x-ray machine worth P3.8 million to the Provincial Government of Pampanga which will be used in several quarantine facilities in the province.

Pampanga Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda personally received the x-ray machine and expressed his gratitude to CDC for the said donation on Monday.

“This x-ray machine is number one in monitoring whether a patient’s pneumonia is progressing. We want to thank Gen. (Manuel) Gaerlan, the President and CEO of CDC. This is a big help to our provincial government in mitigating COVID-19,” he said during the turnover activity.

The turnover of x-ray machine was followed by the signing of deed of donation which was led by Pineda and CDC Vice President for Security Services Group PBGen. Sheldon G. Jacaban at the Session Hall of the Pampanga Provincial Capitol.

Among those who witnessed the signing were Provincial Administrator Atty. Charlie Chua, Pampanga Board Members Ananias Canlas, Jr., Paul Balingit, Fritzie Dizon, and Cherry Manalo.

For his part, Jacaban – who is also a retired Police Brigadier General, represented CDC President and CEO Manuel R. Gaerlan and acknowledged Pineda’s message.

“With our President Manny Gaerlan, our Chairman, and members of the board, they are very much willing to donate. We will always be your partner socially, economically, and in infrastructure development,” Jacaban said.

The donation of x-ray machine is also part of CDC’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program in support of the Bayanihan to Heal as One Act.

This will also meet the needs of hospitals and quarantine facilities to monitor more COVID patients and cases in the province as it is also equipped with the latest advanced technology.
