CLARK FREEPORT – The provincial government of Pampanga recognized Clark Development Corporation (CDC) for its support and
effort in the successful staging of the 31 st Association of South East Asian Nation (ASEAN) Summit and Related Meetings.
In a resolution passed by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan during their regular session, CDC was commended for its full assistance and active
participation in the Task Group Clark ASEAN 2017 which guaranteed the peaceful and systematic outcome of the event held from November
10-14 last year.
The state-owned firm was part of the Task Group composed of representatives from various government agencies and offices, including
police and military personnel, commissioned to ensure safety and security throughout the said affair.
The Task Group was formed following a memorandum circular issued by the Office of the President which enjoined all government agencies and
instrumentalities including government-owned and controlled corporations and local government units to extend full support and
participation in carrying out the activity.
Clark Freeport Zone has been a preferred venue for business and conferences and became the official site for the ASEAN 2017.
With the theme “Partnering for Change Engaging the World,” more than 20 heads of states and representatives participated during the event to promote unity and enhance cooperation among the member states and its global partners.
