CDC opens Clark Media Center; forges partnership with CLMA Pampanga and CAMI

Clark Development Corporation (CDC) celebrated a historic milestone on December 20, 2024, with the ceremonial signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) among CDC, Capampangan in Media, Inc. (CAMI), and the Central Luzon Media Association (CLMA) Pampanga. The event, held at the CDC Visitors Center, marked the official opening of the Clark Media Center, a world-class facility dedicated to empowering the media sector.

The ceremony was attended by CDC President & CEO Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera; Special Assistant to the President & CEO Zoraida Camello; VP for Admin & Finance Mike Dela Rosa; VP for Engineering Services Group Engr. Teresito Tiotuyco; VP for Security Services PMGen. Lina Sarmiento; VP for Legal Services Atty. Gloria Victoria Yap Taruc; Communications Division team headed by Astrud Aguinaldo; Senior Public Affairs Officer Precy Pintor Cunanan; and Property Manager and CLMA Pampanga senior member Archie Reyes, along with other CDC managers and staff. The program was hosted by Communications Officer Julia Ignacio-Cunanan.

Also gracing the event were veteran journalist and Philippine STAR columnist Dick Pascual, who is presently residing or retired abroad; officers of CLMA Pampanga, led by incoming president Mark Allen Sison; members of CLMA Pampanga and its umbrella organization in the region, represented by Diosdado “Deng” Pangilinan; and CAMI officers and members.

In her welcome remarks, Atty. Devanadera, emphasized the importance of partnerships with the media in fostering transparency and collaboration. “This facility represents CDC’s commitment to open communication and mutual trust with the media. The Clark Media Center is not just a building—it is a bridge that strengthens the relationship between the government, media practitioners, and the public. By working together, we ensure that accurate and timely information flows freely to empower communities and drive development,” she said.

Echoing this sentiment, VP for Admin & Finance Dela Rosa underscored the significance of maintaining open lines of communication between government institutions and the media in order to implement plans and programs effectively. “The media plays a crucial role in shaping public opinion and promoting accountability. CDC’s partnership with CLMA and CAMI reflects our shared vision of fostering innovation, collaboration, and transparency. We believe that this media center will serve as a catalyst for constructive dialogue and stronger public-private partnerships,” Dela Rosa stated.

The Clark Media Center is designed to support the evolving needs of the media industry, offering state-of-the-art facilities such as high-speed Wi-Fi, advanced audio-visual equipment, spacious workstations, and a secure environment. The professional setup and modern amenities make it an ideal venue for press conferences and other media-related activities, reinforcing CDC’s commitment to providing a collaborative space for journalists and media practitioners.

In his speech, Alberto “Boy” Santiago, President and incoming Chairman of CLMA Pampanga, expressed the organization’s gratitude to CDC for its unwavering support of the media community. “This new media center is more than just a facility; it is a testament to CDC’s vision and dedication to fostering growth and innovation in the media sector. It will enhance the flow of accurate and timely information, benefiting both the media professionals and the general public,” he stated. “As we embrace this new milestone, we pledge to live up to our existence as the Clark Loving Media Association, strongly committed to being a relevant and vital force in the media industry. CLMA will continue to uphold the values of responsible journalism, adapt to the evolving needs of the profession, and serve as a steadfast voice for the people,” Santiago added.

The CLMA Pampanga also reaffirmed its commitment to responsible journalism and its role as a voice for the people. The organization pledged to continue adapting to the ever-changing media landscape while promoting excellence and public service.

The event highlighted the shared vision of CDC and its partner organizations in strengthening the media’s role in society and underscored the importance of fostering meaningful partnerships.
