Clark Development Corporation (CDC) will host the second leg of its webinar program on sustainable energy titled “Power of Choice: A Continuing Learning Journey on Power for Clark Freeport Zone Stakeholders” on April 14, 2023, at 1:00 PM via virtual conference and live stream on CDC’s official Facebook Page.
The second part of the said educational webinar builds on the success of the first leg, which focused on the significance of renewable and sustainable energy and its impact on future developments in business, the economy, and the country.
For its second edition, the event will feature expert speakers who will discuss various topics related to power, including Solar Economics and Standards, Net Metering and Demand Side Management Programs, Regulatory Framework vis-à-vis Commercial Arrangements in Net Metering, and Permit Application Procedures and Requirements.
The speakers include Philippine Solar and Storage Energy Alliance (PSSEA) President, and Board Member Jose Rafael “Ping” R. Mendoza, who will discuss Solar Economics and Standards; Clark Electric Distribution Company (CEDC) Engr. Redel M. Domingo, who will talk about Net Metering and Demand Side Management Programs; Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) Director Sharon O. Montaner who will discuss the Regulatory Framework vis-à-vis Commercial Arrangements in Net Metering and for those in Excess of 100kwh; and CDC Manager Engr. Erwin C. Bognot will cover Permit Application Procedures and Requirements.
In a statement, CDC President and CEO Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera said that the webinar is part of the state-owned firm’s Continuing Learning Journey. This also aligns with CDC’s commitment to building a stronger, more vibrant, and sustainable business ecosystem in the Freeport.
Devanadera also mentioned that by providing stakeholders with the right information and tools, they can make informed decisions that will benefit their businesses and the Freeport Zone as a whole. Aside from this, CDC is also focused on promoting sustainability in its four areas of heightened readiness; namely power, water, connectivity, and transportation.
