CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — An employee of the City Environment and Natural Resources (CENRO) on Friday evening was nabbed for illegal drugs in a checkpoint conducted along Dolores Intersection this city, a police report said yesterday.
The suspect was identified as Jhay John Bondoc Roque, 33, who was on board his Honda motorcycle when flagged down by police authorities led by Senior Inspector Wimerra Jean D Saldia for violation of the LTO Rules and Regulations.
But police said, after a body search, five plastic sachets of shabu and drug paraphernalia were recovered from Roque’s possession.
According to police, a series of text conversations and transactions were found on Roque’s mobile phone by arresting officers.
Under the PDEA policy, a government employee or official who is involved in illegal drug activities is classified as a High Value Target (HVT).
Roque is now detained at the Dolores Community Police Assistance Center (COMPAC 2) as a case for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act is being readied for filing against him in court.
