A helicopter carrying Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Police General Archie Francisco Gamboa and other officials crashed in San Pedro, Laguna on Thursday morning.
In an interview, Police Captain Edgar Miguel of the PNP Highway Patrol Group (HPG) said the PNP chief was seen alive while being taken to the hospital.
Gamboa was with PNP Spokesperson Bernard Banac, Comptroller Gen. Joevic Ramos, Gen. Mariel Magaway, two pilots, and two others.
Gamboa assumed office as PNP chief this January 2020.
