CL establishes 169 Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facilities

CLARK FREEPORT ZONE, Pampanga — Central Luzon has established a total of 169 Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facilities (TTMFs) as part of its Isolate Strategy to contain COVID-19.

“This is 111 percent of our regional target of 152 TTMFs. However, only 23 out of 169 TTMFs or 14% are Department of Health-certified and 11 or 7% of the TTMFs are PhilHealth-accredited,” Regional Task Force on COVID-19 Chairperson and Office of Civil Defense Regional Director Maria Theresa Escolano disclosed during the visit of the Coordinated Operations to Defeat Epidemic Team of the National Task Force led by Chief Implementer Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr.

Moreover, there are other Isolation/Quarantine Facilities designated or established by the local government units known as Ligtas COVID Centers, and the special care facilities for severe cases, suspect and probable cases, and for confirmed cases with mild symptoms.  

These facilities also include the Department of Tourism-identified, Bureau of Quarantine-accredited accommodation establishments for Returning Overseas Filipinos.

“And lastly, a total of 305 geographical units covering the 7 provinces and 2 highly urbanized cities of Central Luzon were placed under zoning containment as of September 7. To date, there are 95 geographical units currently on zoning containment in the provinces of Aurora, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga and Zambales,” Escolano added.
