CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — Central Luzon micro, small and medium entrepreneurs (MSMEs) earned about PhP150 million from 183 Department of Trade and Industry trade fairs in 2018.
From the figure, 11 were international fairs, 33 national, 12 regional, 34 provincial, and 93 were classified simply as “trade fairs.”
“A total of 41 of our MSMEs participated in the 11 international fairs which include the China-ASEAN Expo and Hongkong International Toy Fair,” DTI Regional Director Judith P. Angeles disclosed.
A bulk of sales of MSMEs came from Likha ng Central Luzon (LCL) Regional Trade Fair held from October 10 to 14 at SM Mega Trade Hall.
“The 167 participants of LCL earned more than PhP63.5 million during the five-day event,” Angeles disclosed.
Moreover, 12 MSMEs earned PhP28.7 million during the Philippine International Furniture Show which was held from March 10-12 at the SMX Convention Center.
32 MSMEs, on the other hand, earned PhP7.4 million during the National Food Fair while 33 earned PhP3.55 million during the National Trade Fair.
