CL Regional Line Agencies commit for new normal education

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — Regional Line Agencies in Central Luzon have committed to support the Department of Education (DepEd) as school year 2020-2021 opens on October 5 amid the threat of COVID-19.

During Friday’s virtual kick-off program, Department of Health (DOH) Regional Director Cesar Cassion noted the shared responsibility of communities in terms of education.

“Education is not the concern of DepEd alone, it is the responsibility of our communities, it is a national responsibility,” Cassion said.

With this, he pledged to take part in protecting the well-being of the learners as the challenge of new normal education take place.

“DOH as one of the partners of DepEd in protecting the welfare and health of our learners in Central Luzon, will continue to provide support for the success of this school year,” he stressed.

Likewise, Department of the Interior and Local Government Regional Director Julie Daquioagexpressed her commitment in backing DepEd for the upcoming school year.

“We are always here to support the initiatives and other remarkable activities of DepEd because we know that education is one of the basic core services needed in a certain community,” Daquioag said.

According to her a well-informed citizen will make a better and more progressive territory, jurisdiction, or an area in a certain community essential for nation building.

“When we educate our young people, better future lies ahead of them that’s why we have to mold these children to be future leaders because we want continuity, we want a better place and a better environment for them,” she said.

And lastly, Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Regional Director Reynaldo Sy commended DepEd for its efforts in pushing through education under the new normal.


“This will be a total paradigm shift from the previous system that’s why it is commendable for DepEd in adapting to this new environment,” he said.

“In behalf of DICT, we would like to commend the efforts made by our friends in DepEd for making the opening of this school year a success. We know the hardship this environment will have in the educational system but we’re confident that DepEd will pull through this pandemic with flying colors,” he emphasized.
