Six suspects who are employees of Miascor were placed under preventive suspension for the pilferage of the luggage of one Jovenil Delacruz of Pandi, Bulacan whose experience was posted in Facebook and went viral.
Miascor is the ground handler under contract with airlines that service flights in Clark and handle baggage of passengers.
CIAC withheld the names of the suspects pending the filing of administrative charges against them by the airport authority.
“I will also recommend to Miascor the termination from employment of these suspects,” Alexander Cauguiran, CIAC acting president and CEO, said, adding that measures are being undertaken with airlines and groundhandlers to ensure that the incident will not happen again.
Miascor has compensated the passenger for the lost items in the luggage amounting to P82,824.00.
