SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Investment promotions for the Clark Freeport Zone gets a big boost here as Philippine Consulate officials have committed to continue supporting the developments inside one of the country’s top economic and job generation centers.
Ambassador Henry Bensurto, Consul General here, said that Clark should be supported in its efforts to attract investors in the United States.
In a discussion with representatives from Clark Development Corporation, California Technological Care and Aguman Capampangan, Bensurto pointed in particular the need to reach various business enterprises in the Silicon Valley area. The meeting was attended by Noel G. Tulabut, CDC Communications Manager, CTC Co-Founder Demos Punsalan, CTC Board Member Patrick Manzano and Aguman-California chapter head Rommel Perez.
In his report to CDC President and CEO Noel Manankil, Tulabut said that Bensurto stressed on economic diplomacy as key in convincing potential investors for Clark, particularly those in manufacturing industry at Silicon Valley here.
“We need to widen base of contact. What we will do aside from (CDC) presentations is to set up B to B (business to business) meetings to complement that,” he said.
“We can warm up the environment here and try to meet people occupying vital positions,” he added.
Bensurto also pointed out Clark’s role as a “gateway to Asean.” He also cited the potentials of Freeports and Bataan as connectivity of these areas thru SCTEX.
For his part, Punsalan said that CTC continues to support the investment mossions of CDC since 1997.
