CLARK FREEPORT – The first United States (U.S.) Embassy remote services in this Freeport provided vital assistance to some 187 American citizens residing in the Philippines.
The U.S. Embassy’s American Citizens Services (ACS) provided notarial services, accepted Consular Report of Birth Abroad (CRBA) applications, and received U.S. passport applications on April 26 at the Health and Sanitation Division (HSD) Training Hall in Building 2093.
U.S. Embassy Consul Michael William Leach expressed gratitude to Clark Development Corporation (CDC), under the leadership of Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera, for providing the facility and other logistical services.
“We are thankful to the CDC for providing us with the facility, and we couldn’t express our gratitude enough to the CDC for this,” Leach said.
Applicants from Angeles City and surrounding areas praise the U.S. Embassy remote services in Clark for their convenience, proximity, and family-friendly approach.
“The U.S. Embassy remote services in Clark are extremely convenient. We no longer have to drive three hours to Manila and then go through the waiting process. It’s less stressful,” said Thea Morrison, a resident of the City of San Fernando.
“It’s (referring to the U.S. Embassy remote services) great because I don’t have to travel all the way to Manila to get my passport, so I kind of like it,” said James Reiindle.
“It’s (referring to the U.S. Embassy remote services) a great convenience for a lot of us because instead of Manila, they come here for us and take care of the issues that we need to address,” Reiindle added.
“It’s also a real convenience for us for the U.S. Embassy to come here because we need to report the birth of my daughter, who was born last January, and we don’t need to travel with our daughter in Manila,” said Brian Peters from Angeles City.
Representatives from the Bureau of Immigration (BI) and the Philippine Retirement Agency (PRA) were also present at the event.
