CLMA Olongapo Zambales Chapter conducted “mangrove planting” activity

Subic Bay Freeport – The Central Luzon Media Association (CLMA) Olongapo Zambales Chapter led by its President Dante Salvaña of the SBMA Corporate Communications Group, conducted its annual “mangrove planting” activity at the Mangrove area along Binictican Drive, Subic Bay Freeport Zone (SBFZ). The activity is part of the initiatives organized by the CLMA to celebrate its 47th Founding Anniversary.

Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) Chairman and Administrator Engr. Eduardo Jose L. Aliño, together with SBMA Director Ted del Rosario, conveyed his gratitude for the mangrove planting activity as this forms part of the program of the Agency in its journey towards becoming the first carbon-neutral freeport in the country by 2030. He also emphasized the significance of participating in activities that will help address the effects of climate change and save the planet from environmental destruction.

Apart from the SBMA, officials and personnel from other government and private agencies namely, the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), Bureau of Customs Port of Subic, Aboitiz Foundation, Subic Enerzone, Subicwater, EcoProtect, and SM Olongapo Central were also present to support the activity. (Armie C.
