Central Luzon TV36’s (CLTV36) program, So to Speak, was hailed again as the Best TV Public Affairs Program (Provincial) at the 26th Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) Golden Dove Awards held on May 29, 2018 at Pasay City.
CLTV36 Current Affairs Department Head and news anchor Jhoedie Mercado accepted the award. “Patuloy po kaming magsisilbi at maghahatid ng mga makabuluhang programang tatalakay sa mga isyu sa ating lokal na komunidad, lalo na sa Central Luzon,” Mercado said in his speech.
So to Speak, hosted by 17th KBP Golden Dove awardee and CLTV36 President Sonia P. Soto, is best known for tackling subjects on local governance, politics, social issues, economy and culture. The latest win is the fourth Golden Dove for the acclaimed show. Soto expressed elation and thanked fellow mass media practitioners for the nomination and win. So to Speak airs every Saturday at 6:00 PM.
CLTV36 also received nominations for Perspektiba for Best TV Public Affairs Program (Provincial) and Metro Central Luzon Weekend Recap for Best TV Newscast (Provincial).
The Golden Dove Awards are given by the KBP to recognize the best in broadcast media and is one of the most prestigious awards in the industry.
