Incumbent Councilor Ronald Venasquez has officially filed his Certificate of Candidacy (COC) to run for mayor of Arayat for the upcoming 2025 Midterm Elections on Monday, October 7.
Venasquez has chosen Barangay Captain Norberto “Mel” Lumbang from Lacquios as his running mate, following a tragic incident in which Lumbang was injured during a shooting on August 11.
Venasquez’s wife, Cheryl Lumbang, will run for the Vice Mayor position, replacing him.
Other councilors joining Venasquez’s slate include reelectionist councilor Marissa Samson, Barangay Captain Rosendo Dizon, former Barangay Captain Tony Lai Due, Boy Frix Macapagal, Kagawad Camello Ivan Lumbang, Engr. Rene Guinto, and Nonoy Espino Loja.
